It is believed that one night the chief engineer had a dream of the goddess Mahalakshmi. The latter asked him to find three idols located at the bottom of the ocean and placed them inside the temple of Mahalakshmi, the goddess Mahalakshmi.
One night Goddess Shri Mahalakshmi instructed Shri Ramji Shivji Prabhu in a dream and asked him to remove all the idols in the Worli stream and place them on top of the mound.
Goddess Mahalakshmi asked him to bring idols from the Arabian Sea and place them on a hill to complete the project without any problems.
Mahalaxmi Temple Mumbai is believed to fulfil all the desires of his true devotees. Now, The southern tip of the Mumbai Islands is the Mahalakshmi temple.
