Mumbai BJP will organize Marathi Dandiya (Garba) festival for the first time in Lalbagh-Parel area of central Mumbai to take on Shiv Sena ahead of BMC elections.
With an eye on the upcoming local body elections in Maharashtra, BJP is all set to organize Marathi Garba Mahotsav in the city to appease voters. Recently, the BJP under the Shinde-Fadnavis government had launched a massive campaign about celebrating Hindu festivals on a large scale. Where BJP has always accused the MVA government of not giving permission for Hindu festivals, but similarly other religions were allowed to celebrate their festivals.
Know from when and where will Marathi Garba be organized?
At the same time, this festival will be organized at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Maidan located in Abhyudaya Nagar of Shivdi. In such a situation, it is planned that this event will be seen as the biggest festival of Mumbai. At the same time, this program will be organized from 30 September to 4 October. In such a situation, we are hoping that the government will allow Garba to be played till 12 nights in the last two days.
On the auspicious occasion of navratri BJP Marathi Garba will be held from 30 September to 4 October. BJP Maharashtra chief said that we are hoping that the government will allow Garba to be played for the last two days till 12 midnight. Apart from Avdhoot Gupte, BJP has included famous Marathi and Hindi singer will perform in the event.
BJP had selected Jamboree Maidan, Mahalaxmi Race Course and Abhyudaya Nagar for Marathi Garba event, however in the end BJP accepted the option of Abhyudaya Nagar as Marathi speaking people live here on a large scale. Huh.
BJP decided to organize Marathi Dandiya. Avdhoot Gupte said that along with Marathi songs, Hindi and Gujarati songs will also be played in Marathi Dandiya.
