Once he saw a tortoise and seeing his slow gait, the rabbit challenged the tortoise to a race. The tortoise accepted the rabbit’s challenge and got ready to run.

All the animals of the forest gathered to watch the race between the tortoise and the rabbit. The race started and the rabbit started running fast and the tortoise started moving forward at his slow pace. After reaching some distance, when the rabbit looked back, he did not see the tortoise anywhere. The rabbit thought, the tortoise is moving very slowly and it will take him a long time to reach here, why not rest for a while. Thinking this he started resting under a tree.

He didn’t even realize when his eyes fell while resting under the tree. On the other hand, the tortoise reached the target slowly and without stopping. Seeing his victory, the other animals started clapping. Hearing the sound of applause, the rabbit woke up and ran to the victory line, but the tortoise had already won and the rabbit remained regretful.
