Lomdi Aur Kauwa Ki Kahani in English
A crow lived in a forest. Everyone stayed away from him because he kept singing in his hoarse voice and all the animals were disturbed by him.
One day he came out of the forest towards the village in search of food. Luckily he found a loaf of bread there. Taking the bread he returned to the forest and sat on his tree.
A fox was passing by there and he was very hungry. She saw bread near the crow and started thinking of eating it somehow.
As soon as the crow was about to eat the bread, the fox’s voice came from below – “Hey Crow King, I have heard that someone sings a song in a very melodious voice here, is that you?”
Hearing the praise of his voice from the fox’s mouth, the crow became very happy in his heart and nodded his head yes.
On this the fox said, why are you joking, Maharaj? You were singing in such a sweet voice, how should I accept this? If you tell me by singing, I will believe it.
As soon as the crow heard the fox’s words and started singing, the bread in its mouth fell down. As soon as the bread fell down, the fox pounced on the bread and after eating the bread went away from there. The hungry crow kept looking at the fox and regretted his actions.
