CET crisis: Govt files appeal in HIGH Court CET crisis: Govt files appeal in HC

Earlier on July 30, KEA had issued a note stating that the second year PU marks of the 2020-21 batch this year were not considered for the CET ranking. Only CET scores have been considered. However, 2021-22 students have been ranked in the regular 50:50 ratio of II PU marks and entrance exam marks.

The KEA has adopted this policy as students’ second PU scores for 2020-21 are based on the universities’ internal scores. The note was questioned by several students who have been reappearing for the CET since the 2020-21 round. In its sentence of September 3, the high court had said that the open note went against the principles of legal expectation and it deserved to be annulled.
