The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will announce the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) Revised Result 2022 on October 1.
The High Court had on September 23 directed the officials to continue with the CET ranking based on this formula. The technical committee constituted by the state government has suggested deducting an average of six marks in each subject from the second PU marks of the students of the Kovid-19 year (2020-21). As a result, this year the CET ranking of II PU students will normalize with 2021-22.
KCET revised result 2022 will be declared on October 1
The committee came up with two sets of solutions based on complex calculations. But in the end, it was suggested to deduct an average of 6 marks from 2020-21 students. The qualifying marks of students of the 2021 PU batch will be deducted by an average of 6 marks in Physics, 5 marks in Chemistry and 7 marks in Mathematics. This will deduct a total of 6 points for 100 qualifying points.

CET crisis: Govt files appeal in HIGH Court CET crisis: Govt files appeal in HC
Earlier on July 30, KEA had issued a note stating that the second year PU marks of the 2020-21 batch this year were not considered for the CET ranking. Only CET scores have been considered. However, 2021-22 students have been ranked in the regular 50:50 ratio of II PU marks and entrance exam marks.
The KEA has adopted this policy as students’ second PU scores for 2020-21 are based on the universities’ internal scores. The note was questioned by several students who have been reappearing for the CET since the 2020-21 round. In its sentence of September 3, the high court had said that the open note went against the principles of legal expectation and it deserved to be annulled.
