Mumbai: Mahanagar Gas CNG, PNG price hiked from today

Mahanagar Gas Cng Price Hike: In Mumbai, the price of CNG has increased by Rs 6 to Rs 86 per kg. At the same time, the price of PNG has increased by Rs 4 to Rs 52.50 per SCM.

The prices of both Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Piped Natural Gas (PNG) have increased in the country’s financial capital Mumbai. City gas distribution company Mahanagar Gas Ltd. (Mahanagar Gas limited – MGL) has increased the price of CNG by Rs 6 per kg. Apart from this, the price of PNG supplied through piped LPG has been increased by Rs 4 per unit. The new prices are effective from Monday midnight.

At the same time, the price of domestic PNG has gone up to Rs 52.50 per SCM.

The government last week raised the rate paid for gas produced from old gas fields to $8.57 per unit from the current $6.1 per million British thermal unit. At the same time, the price of gas extracted from difficult areas was increased from $9.92 to $12.6 per unit. On the basis of this rate, about two-thirds of the gas produced in the country is sold.
